Store launches and...ducks?

It has been a busy few months for SK Events. Not only is the team growing but we have managed some really exciting events including the launch of TK Maxx’s brand new flagship store on Charing Cross Road last month.

SK Events were commissioned by TK Maxx to event manage the launch which saw over 500 VIP guests and press descend on the store.

The distinctive theme of ‘London Calling’ devised by SK Events, saw male and female dancing models strutting their stuff on the shop floor and in the windows as ‘living mannequins’, showing off the latest TK looks against a background of union jacks and urban street graphics.

Fashion Editors, bloggers and celebrities alike were out in force to celebrate the new store opening, catch a glimpse of the key trends for Autumn/Winter and bag some brilliant designer bargains for themselves.

VIPs included fashion designers Pam Hogg and Zandra Rhodes, Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies, soap stars Lucy Benjamin and Laila Rouass plus Dan Gillespie Sells, lead singer of The Feeling.

Guests sipped Gin Fizz cocktails and nibbled traditional ‘English’ canapés including Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding and mini Steak Pie as they were treated to a bouncing live DJ set from Krystal (Hed Kandi), and for those tiring with all the retail therapy, nail bars and personal shoppers were on hand to revive and invigorate.

We were also proud to support the important work done by Claire House Hospice. 40,000 sponsored ducks raced down the Leeds to Liverpool canal, raising over £50,000 for the good cause. Here's our duck. He didn't win the race but we're not too sore - he raised a lot of money in the process.
