SK Events were thrilled to open TK Maxx’s brand new store on Church Street last night (29th April 2010).
The labels for less fashion retailer’s new store boasts nearly 30,000 square feet over 3 floors and carries the latest mix of top brands across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and home - all at up to 60% off the recommended retail price.
SK Events were commissioned by TK Maxx to event manage the store launch which saw over 500 VIP guests descend on the former George Henry Lee Building.
The theme of the launch, ‘Heavenly Creatures’ took its inspiration from TKMaxx’s national advertising campaign, with male and female models dressed in colourful TK Maxx product performing on stilts in a ‘garden of delights’ outside the store, which included fake grass, topiary trees and vivid pink flamingos.
Guests were treated to canapés, cupcakes and champagne before enjoying an evening of exclusive shopping for labels including Luella, Fendi, Prada, Jimmy Choo and Dolce and Gabbana. For those guests tiring with all the retail therapy, chair massages, nail bars and personal shoppers were on hand to revive and invigorate.
Radio City DJ Rick Vaughan oversaw proceedings playing chart hits and interviewing shoppers live on air.
Lucy McGonigle, TK Maxx Press Officer commented:
“ Everyone at TK Maxx is delighted with SK Event’s launch and the amazing ambience that they have created to kick off the new Liverpool store with a bang! We couldn't have asked for anything more, the SK team completely understood our brand values and key messaging to create a VIP TK Maxx experience.”
Denise Harris, SK Events Director added:
“We were thrilled to be able to work with such a forward thinking, fun brand. The store looked incredible - it’s been a pleasure delivering an event of this calibre and we look forward to a strong working relationship with TK Maxx in the future.”
