Road Safety Awareness Event for the 60+ Age Group

Having been in operation for three years the Merseyside Road Safety Partnership is continually working towards reducing the number of people killed and seriously injured on the regions roads. SK Events work closely with The Merseyside Road Safety Partnership on a Road Safety Awareness Event for the 60+ Age Group.

Building on the successes of St Helen’s and Southport Road Safety Awareness Events, the next event takes place on Wednesday 16th June at The Leverhulme Hotel and Spa in Port Sunlight.  Special guest speakers include Robert Gifford from the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety and David Foulkes from Merseyside Road Safety Partnership.

The day is designed to provide lots of useful information as well as stimulate debate about safe road use specifically for the 60+ age group, whether it is for independent drivers or public transport users.

Last year on Britain's roads nearly 30,000 people were killed or seriously injured. This equates to nearly 2,400 per month or over 78 per day. Many people treat these deaths and injuries as accidental, something that just happens, they aren’t, they’re preventable tragedies with real causes.

Anybody wishing to attend this event can email anne-louise@skevents.co.uk or alternatively call us on 0151 522 9362 to reserve a place.
