Liverpool Food and Drink Festival 2010

September 12th 2010: Sefton Park was once again the location for the launch day of the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival. Now in it's 3rd year, the event organised by SK Events was blessed with fine weather as the foodies of Liverpool descended in their masses.

An estimated 40,000 people came to enjoy over 80 of Liverpool's best restaurants, bars and local producers and the food and drink on offer.

Celebrity chefs James Martin, Paul Heathcote and Ian Pengelley entertained the crowds with fun-filled cookery demonstrations, local producers displayed their knowledge in the Masterclass tent, children had fun in the Love Food Hate Waste Garden and interactive Childrens area sponsored by Family Go Live Magazine and The Noble House provided a sophisticated Champagne bar.

The people of Liverpool showed their appreciation for this now well established date in the cultural calendar and a great day was had by all!

The Festival now continues in the bars and restaurants of Liverpool during festival week 12th-18th September.
