SK Events was established in 2006 and organises a variety of events specialising in large food festivals. As a small team, we are looking for someone comfortable doing a wide range of tasks from the basic administration of the event to the overall strategic management, you would require a minimum of 5 years experience.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To work closely with the director to develop the organisation’s events strategy and shape the events calendar
Develop and grow new engagement activities on the festivals that are established
Be creative on all levels and identify any gaps within events that are in place, that may need new elements incorporated into it
Manage the event from concept to production, working on budget.
Monitor, evaluate and report against plans.
Ensure all events comply with legal requirements, health and safety regulations.
Provide advice and support to the rest of the team, and clients.
Provide friendly and professional support to event participants.
Develop strong working relationships with clients, sponsors and exhibitors.
Help produce communications and publicity materials for all events.
Liaising closely with the director to identify and implement opportunities for event sponsorship, including writing proposals and attending pitch meetings
Attend steering meetings where required.
Fully utililise, manage and maintain the Events database - ensuring efficient systems are in place. I
n addition to the work in place take responsibility for ad-hoc event opportunities that arise.

Skills and experience required:
Essential:
Experience of working in the events industry, preferably on public or food events.
Proven event management experience in initiating and managing events.
Proven event management experience involving high profile sponsors and guests
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent written communication skills
Excellent organisational skills.
Experience of creating and implementing a strategy with clear objectives of growth.
A can-do attitude, flexible, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Desirable: To have a broad knowledge of the food and drink industry in Liverpool

The role as an intern in SK Event’s PR division, you’ll be given hands-on experience in one of the leading events, marketing and PR agencies in the UK. This experience will be valuable if you are considering a career in PR or marketing communications.
Your role will be to provide administrative support to the PR and Marketing team in their daily duties which will give you a broad insight into the full marketing mix. Energy, a flexible approach and great attitude is a must for this busy agency.
You must be available for a minimum of one month. This internship is unpaid but includes travel and a meal allowance. You should be interested in the media and creative marketing techniques.
